Skippr Data Ltd is a small software company. We do not run factories. This policy is how we keep the environmental impact of the business in view.

How we work

• We are UK-based and work remotely by default, which avoids a daily office commute.
• We prefer video to flights. When we travel, we have a reason.
• Self-hosted Skipprd runs on hardware the customer already pays for. That is their energy envelope, not a second copy of the data in a Skippr-owned warehouse.

Hardware and waste

Laptops and peripherals are kept in use, repaired where it is cheaper and safer than replacing them, and recycled through a proper scheme at end of life. We do not dump WEEE.

What we do not claim

We do not sell carbon offsets as a product feature. We do not claim the company is net zero. If a customer needs emissions figures for their own report, email hello@skippr.io and we will say what we can measure.

This policy is reviewed at least once a year.
