Skippr builds Skippr Cloud — application-shaped APIs (tables, objects, queues, streams, identity, functions) with costs tied to hardware usage — and Cloud ELT, a runner that lands data in your warehouse and produces reviewable dbt.
Story
Skippr was founded by data engineers who spent years on custom pipelines. The first months of a data project repeated the same work: extraction, loading, schema mapping, staging models, validation. Skippr encodes that workflow in a Rust runner and an agent that drafts dbt you own.
The modeling output is standard dbt — not a proprietary dialect. You review it, extend it, and run it in your warehouse.
Mission
Close the gap between having data and being able to query it.
How we work
- Low ops — the ELT runner is Production: a single binary on your machine or VPC. Cloud APIs are managed Preview services.
- AI where it helps — schema discovery is deterministic; modeling uses schema metadata by default.
- Data path — row-level source data moves from the runner to your destination, not through a Skippr-hosted data plane.
